Special Nationals 2026 Organizing Committee
Successful Orientation for Puerto Rico Region AACA Members
The Organizing Committee of the Special Nationals is very pleased with the Orientation held yesterday, Saturday, at the facilities of Melvin Garage for the members of the Puerto Rico Region AACA. More than 50 members attended the meeting.
At 10:15 AM, the program began with an invocation to the Almighty, asking for His guidance in carrying out the activity. The Committee President, Melvin Ramos, welcomed the members and provided updates on the progress of the plans for the 2026 event. He presented samples of the polos, caps, and chips that will be given to the participating judges. A sample of the plaque that will be presented to each car owner participant was also circulated among those present.
Member Jaime del Valle highlighted the recognition received by our Webmaster, Raymond Beníquez, awarded by AACA in the United States for the quality of his publication. The award is the 2025 AACA Master Webmaster Award, granted specifically for the Puerto Rico Region AACA website. I would like to personally emphasize the demanding effort required to maintain this publication. On many occasions, Mr. Beníquez presents more than one topic of interest in a single week as editor of AACA Te Informa.
All proceedings followed the pre-established agenda that had been shared with the members, ensuring that the objectives were met. The best proof of this was the level of questions from the members and the expertise of the presenters. The refreshments—sandwiches—were fantastic. They were plentiful, and every single one was enjoyed.
For me, the best part of the activity was the camaraderie among the attendees during and after the session. It clearly demonstrated the enthusiasm and anticipation for March 2026. The treasurer informed me that another highlight of the event was the collection of membership dues. To date, more than 60 members have already paid their dues.
